Tesserae Trails is a single-player puzzle game that runs entirely on your device. This policy explains, in plain language, what data the app does and does not handle.

The short version

Tesserae Trails has no user accounts, shows no ads, and does not track you across other apps or websites. The game itself plays entirely offline. The app does send anonymous usage analytics so we can understand how the game is played and improve it — details below.

Data stored on your device

Your puzzle progress (completed levels, best star counts, and daily-puzzle records) is saved locally on your device so the game can remember where you left off. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to the developer or anyone else. Deleting the app removes it. Playing the game itself does not require an internet connection.

Analytics and data collection

Tesserae Trails uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the game is played so we can improve it. The app sends anonymous usage events — for example when a level or the daily puzzle is completed, when a hint is used, and when an in-app purchase is started, completed, restored, or fails. These events include gameplay statistics (level and section identifiers, star counts, moves used, hints used, restarts, and time spent) and in-app purchase outcomes (the product identifier and whether the purchase succeeded, failed, or was restored). No purchase includes any card, receipt, or account information. TelemetryDeck also records standard technical details common to analytics tools: app version, device model, operating-system version, screen size, time zone, language and region, and a per-session identifier.

To count installs without identifying you, TelemetryDeck attaches an anonymous identifier derived from your app installation. It is hashed on your device and hashed again on TelemetryDeck's servers with a separate secret, so neither we nor TelemetryDeck can reverse it or connect it to you. Your IP address is not stored. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos, microphone, or camera; we show no ads; we use no advertising identifier; and we do not track you across other apps or websites. We never sell or share your data.

Children's privacy

The app is rated suitable for all ages. The anonymous analytics described above are not linked to any person and are not used to track anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the date above revised.
